30-Day Returns Policy

For standard, non-customised products, we offer a 30-day returns period from the date of delivery, subject to the conditions below.

Returned products should be:

  • In as-new, unused and resalable condition

  • Complete with all original packaging, manuals, accessories and components

  • Returned with the original packaging unmarked and undamaged

  • Securely packaged to prevent damage during return transit

Please contact us before arranging a return. Goods returned without prior authorisation may take longer to process.

Different conditions apply to consumer statutory cancellations, business purchases, configured products and faulty or damaged goods, as explained below.

Consumer Orders – Statutory Cancellation Rights

If you are purchasing as a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by this returns policy.

For most standard goods purchased online, consumers have the right to cancel an eligible order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without having to provide a reason.

You should notify us of your decision to cancel within this 14-day period.

After notifying us of your cancellation, the goods should normally be returned to us within a further 14 days.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us.

We recommend using an insured and trackable delivery service, as the goods remain your responsibility until they have been received by us.

Original Delivery Charges

Where a consumer exercises their statutory right to cancel an eligible online order within the applicable cancellation period, we will refund:

  • The price paid for the goods; and

  • The cost of the least expensive standard delivery service offered for that order.

If you selected an enhanced, express, timed or premium delivery service, any additional amount paid above the cost of our standard delivery service will not be refunded.

For example, if our standard delivery charge was £10 and you chose an express service costing £18, the maximum delivery refund would be £10.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, the cost of returning the goods to Desktop Power remains the customer's responsibility.

Returns Between 15 and 30 Days

Our 30-day returns policy provides an additional return period beyond the statutory cancellation period applicable to most consumer online purchases.

Where we agree to accept a non-faulty return outside the statutory cancellation period:

  • The customer is responsible for return carriage costs

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable

  • The product must be returned in as-new, unused and resalable condition

  • All original packaging, accessories, manuals and components must be included

  • We reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction where the condition of the goods or packaging has reduced their resale value

Returns outside the statutory cancellation period are subject to the terms of this voluntary returns policy and do not affect your statutory rights.

Business Customers

Where goods have been purchased wholly or mainly for business, trade or professional purposes, consumer cancellation rights do not apply.

Returns of correctly supplied, non-faulty goods purchased by business customers are accepted at our discretion and must be authorised by Desktop Power before being returned.

Where a business return is agreed:

  • A restocking charge of 25%–35% may apply, depending on the product, condition, configuration and any associated supplier charges

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable

  • The customer is responsible for return carriage costs

  • Goods must be returned in as-new and fully resalable condition

  • All original packaging, manuals, accessories and components must be included

  • Packaging must be unmarked and undamaged

We will confirm any applicable restocking charge before authorising the return wherever reasonably possible.

Configured, Custom-Made & Special-Order Products

Many Desktop Power products are available in different power, USB, data, colour, lead and connectivity configurations.

Products which are genuinely manufactured, modified or made to a customer's individual specification, or which are clearly personalised, cannot normally be cancelled or returned simply because they are no longer required or because the customer has changed their mind.

This may include certain configured Desktop, In-Desk and Under-Desk power units manufactured or modified specifically for an individual order.

Special-order products sourced specifically at a customer's request may also be non-returnable or subject to separate return conditions.

Where a product is simply a standard stocked product, the normal returns provisions above will apply.

If you are unsure whether a particular product will be treated as configured, custom-made or special order, please contact us before placing your order.

This restriction does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

Handling Consumer Returns

Consumers may inspect goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality in much the same way as they reasonably could in a shop.

If handling goes beyond what is reasonably necessary and this causes a reduction in the value of the goods, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.

A statutory consumer cancellation will not be subject to a general restocking fee simply because the customer has exercised their right to cancel.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description, please contact Desktop Power as soon as possible.

Where possible, please inspect deliveries when they arrive.

If there is obvious transit damage, please note this with the carrier where possible and contact us promptly.

For concealed transit damage, we ask that you contact us as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery, and provide photographs of:

  • The damaged product

  • The external packaging

  • Any internal packaging

  • The delivery label where relevant

Prompt notification helps us raise any necessary claim with the carrier.

Failure to notify us within 24 hours does not remove any statutory consumer rights you may have.

Where goods are confirmed as faulty, damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied or not as described, we will arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, collection or refund depending on the circumstances and your applicable legal rights.

Return Carriage

For unwanted or change-of-mind returns, the customer is normally responsible for arranging and paying for return carriage.

Please package returned products carefully and appropriately for transit.

Desktop Power cannot accept responsibility for goods lost or damaged while being returned by a customer where the loss or damage is caused by inadequate packaging or the customer's chosen return carrier.

We strongly recommend using an insured and trackable delivery service.

Where goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, please contact us before returning them so that we can advise you of the appropriate return or collection arrangements.

Please do not return goods without first contacting Desktop Power.

Refunds

Once returned goods have been received, we will inspect them and confirm the outcome of the return.

For statutory consumer cancellations, refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

Where applicable, we may wait until the returned goods have been received, or until you provide evidence that they have been returned, before issuing the refund.

Approved refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.

Any permitted deductions, agreed restocking charges or non-refundable costs will be confirmed as part of the return process.

For returns accepted under our voluntary returns policy outside the statutory cancellation period, original delivery charges are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.

How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact Desktop Power and provide:

  • Your name or company name

  • Your order number

  • The product or products you wish to return

  • The reason for the return

  • Details of any fault or damage

  • Photographs where the product has arrived damaged or faulty

Email: Hello@DesktopPower.co.uk
Telephone: 03301 330 430

We will then review the request and provide the appropriate return instructions.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any rights available to consumers under applicable UK law.

Consumer statutory rights apply in addition to any additional rights offered under our voluntary returns policy.
